A male blackbuck get ready for the leap at the Maidenahalli Blackbuck Conservation Reserve, situated about 125 km from Bangalore. On 22nd February 2009, wildlife enthusiasts walked the 798 acre reserve and counted 458 animals. During the last census held in 2002 600 animals were recorded
